Admixtures

Admixtures are substances added to concrete, mortar, or grout during mixing to modify its properties or improve its performance. These substances are typically introduced in small quantities and can alter the workability, strength, durability, setting time, and other characteristics of the concrete mixture.

Plasticizers

Liquid Admixtures used to increase the workability of concrete and to reduce the mixing water content by 12% are called plasticizers. Most plasticizers are coupled with another physical property such as accelerating, retarding, pore-blocking etc.

Super Plasticizers

Liquid admixtures used to increase the workability of concrete and to reduce the mixing water content by 25% are called super plasticizers. Most super plasticizers are coupled with or without retarding effects.

Hyper Plasticizers

Liquid Admixtures used to increase the workability of concrete and to reduce the mixing water content by 35% are called plasticizers. Hyper plasticizers are improved with self-levelling, self-compacting properties.
